The pastors and elders at HMC invite any and all to a 72-hour virtual prayer vigil. Choose a one hour slot of prayer between Saturday, October 31, 6:00 p.m. and Tuesday, November 3, 6:00 p.m. During the hour, choose your favorite place to pray (Really anywhere) and focus your prayer on the unity among God's people. Remember the invitation in 2 Chronicles 7:14 that says, "if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." Pray what God the Father, God the Son and God the Spirit bring to your mind. Pray scripture. Pray for God to spark unity in our church, our community, our nation and our world. You are also encouraged to fast in some way on the day you pray. Maybe give up a special food or beverage you like daily. Maybe give up some sort of social media for 24 hours. Let the Spirit lead you. Thank you for partnering in prayer and fasting to seek God in familiar and fresh ways.
